Who’s Who in ServiceNow: 21 of the Cloud Company’s Execs to Know for 2021

There is no denying that ServiceNow had an incredible year in 2020. From announcing their no-layoff pledge at the beginning of COVID-19, to utilizing their own emergency apps and workflows, ServiceNow has showcased their executive leadership and strategy every step of the way.

Over the last 12 months, the software company announced several new initiatives that make it clear CEO, Bill McDermott and the entire ServiceNow team are gearing up for continued growth. Starting with the announcement of a new industry solutions strategy, ServiceNow continued a strong trajectory throughout 2020 with the expansion of their Partner Program to deliver workflows. This shift helps companies in specific industries address unique digital transformation challenges and create value at scale.

The results of these moves are hard to argue. At the close of Q3 2020, ServiceNow recorded subscription revenues of $1,091 million, representing 31% y/y growth (29% adjusted for constant currency). With 41 transactions over $1 million in net new annual contract value in Q3, they reached 1,012 total customers with over $1 million in annual contract value (up from 964 customers at the end of Q2 2020).

As we look ahead to what this year will bring for ServiceNow and their clients, it’s important to get familiar with the team of experts working to grow the platform and strategize its future.

Current ServiceNow Executive Team

Bill McDermott, President and CEO

Joining the ServiceNow team in November of 2019, McDermott leads the ServiceNow pack as President and CEO. Since moving to ServiceNow after nearly a decade at SAP, McDermott has worked to further develop ServiceNow’s capabilities and brand, significantly increasing the number and accelerating the rate of company partnerships and acquisitions.

McDermott is a natural born leader and a brilliant speaker. If you’re looking to get a better sense of the captain of the ServiceNow ship, I recommend reading through his interview published last year with Computer Business Review. It’s a comprehensive introduction to McDermott, providing an overview of his previous roles. The piece does a great job of showing McDermott’s engaging personality and contagious inspirational spirit.

Additionally, this Cloud Wars piece provides clear insights into the CEO’s plan for ServiceNow: major growth. If you’re new to ServiceNow, this piece is great for learning about the company’s business priorities for 2021 and beyond as it prepares to triple its workforce within the next 5 years.
