It’s been one month since ServiceNow’s biggest annual user conference, Knowledge. With hundreds of sessions a day we know that most of you didn’t make it to everything that you wanted to. Don’t worry, we didn’t either! But you’re in luck. Not only does ServiceNow upload the presentations for all attendees to access, but we are also sharing all of our presentations with you, whether or not you were able to make it out to Vegas this year.
Below, see six of Acorio’s K19 presentations. Ranging from the TheaterNow Stage to Classrooms and Labs, each presentation was given by one of our ServiceNow experts.
Preparing for a Successful HRSD Transformation
ServiceNow’s HR Service Delivery product promises to give employees the service experiences they deserve plus to eliminate frustration and improve satisfaction with efficient intelligent workflows. Big promise, especially if you don’t have the right guidance to help get you there.
That’s why we have Stacey. Stacey Prezel, Acorio’s ServiceNow HR Service Delivery Practice Lead, is the spearhead for HRSD success with Acorio’s ServiceNow clients.
And lucky for you, in her K19 presentation, she shares some of her wisdom. Learn practical tips to help your organization effectively plan your ServiceNow HRSD implementation, including how to identify and prioritize HR services, ensuring you have a thorough organizational change management strategy.
Stacey’s session also covered how to best prepare your HR admins to operationally support your transformation efforts.

Serving Our Community Using ServiceNow
At our annual company get-together in 2018, we held a Charity Auction. While it was wildly successful (we raised over 20K with just 100 people), it was managed through paper listings for the various items available for bid, and in the aftermath of the excitement, there was a lot of manual work to be done to collect money, send items, etc.
This year, we pushed ServiceNow into an area it hasn’t gone before by running the 2019 charity auction through ServiceNow’s Service Portal.
In his presentation, James Hamilton discusses the design goals and challenges for creating such a unique application, one that was like anything else he had ever built in ServiceNow.
Start connecting to your own community and learn how Acorio went from raising $22,000 to raising $43,000 for charity.
Performance Analytics in Scoped Applications
Ryan Dinwiddie, one of Acorio’s ServiceNow Architects, has nearly a decade of experience working in the platform and is currently working on some of Acorio’s largest Shared-Services and Global Business Initiative projects. Why has he been put on such large projects? Because when it comes to utilizing Performance Analytics (PA) in the platform, there is no one better.
His K19 presentation showcases his PA expertise, he gives a quick overview of the capabilities in the platform, and then he dives right in and guides you through the use of PA in Scope and building out metrics for a Process within a scoped application.
If you’re just looking for a PA overview, focus on slide six where he builds out a graph explaining relationships between fact tables, indicator sources, scores, breakdown sources, bucket sources, etc.

This is the basic premise behind Ryan Gillespie and Richard Norton’s K19 presentation. Titled Decipher Foundations: Translate business requirements into Development, they exposed the power of Custom Apps in the Now Platform. In fact, their presentation was so popular the first time around that they got asked to do it a second time the next day.
To jump right in, download the slide deck here.
In the presentation, you will be walked through three parts. One, the customer challenge where Ryan and Richard share their extensive consulting experience with you – detailing different scenarios they have seen. Next, they will take those challenges and walk you through their preferred approach. And of course, three, tips and tricks to leverage the Now Platform.
If you’re just skimming the slides, be sure to take an extra minute on slide number eleven, where they have a chart of out-of-the-box capabilities, and what they actually deliver.
The State of ServiceNow Disruption
Today, while 93% of customers have implemented ServiceNow for IT (both ITSM and ITOM), did you know that over 54% have implemented 2+ elements of the platform and 12% have implemented 4+ platform components? Further, nearly 80% of your peers have a Service Management initiative underway at their business this year.
These are just some of the original data points on ServiceNow transformation that Acorio launched in our first-ever global research focused exclusively on ServiceNow clients and prospects earlier this year.
This pioneering ServiceNow Insight and Vision Report highlights how top organizations around the globe drive digital transformation for their employees and, increasingly, their customers.
If you missed VP’s Adam Mason and Meghan Lockwood in the TheaterNow studio at Knowledge19, now is your time to catch up by downloading their presentation. Together they cover top findings about the future of the platform, current top challenges, and even suggest a few KPI’s you might want to be tracking.
CSM Fruit Salad
Not only did VP of Solutions and Innovation, Adam Mason, present on the TheaterNow stage at Knowledge19, but he also took to a classroom and presented a ServiceNow Customer story, Flexential.
“CSM Fruit Salad: How a high growth MSP merged apples and oranges into one great pair” highlights the complex but successful journey Flexential took on their coast-to-coast ServiceNow merger between Peak10 and Viawest.
